The City of Lake City Fire & Rescue Department is located at 233 N Acline
Street, which is one of two streets that bisect Lake City. The other being Main
Street. The Lake City Fire Department consist of 11 full-time, 5 part-time, and 21
volunteer personnel. At this time we operate out of one station, with plans to
build a second station. We have a total of 9 apparatus in service at this time.
They included 4 pumpers, 1 pumper/tanker, 1 service/rescue, 1 aerial, and two
support vehicles. In 2005 Lake City Fire Department obtained an ISO Class 3
insurance rating. The Lake City Fire Department provides multiple services to
Lake City Citizens including fire suppression, 1st responder, vehicle extrication,
fire safety programs, and much more.
